Obituary of Bruce A. Hildom

Bruce A. Hildom, 57, formerly of Jamestown, died Saturday April 29, 2017, in Erie, PA. He was born October 26, 1959, in Jamestown, a son of the late LaVerne Hildom and Genevieve Williams Hildom Palko. Following graduation from high school he served in the US Army. He was employed by Wal-Mart in Oil City, PA as a customer service manager. He was a whiz at computers and electronics. He was an avid football fan and especially enjoyed following the Pittsburgh Steelers. Surviving is a daughter Heather Chapman of Jamestown; six grandchildren Laurel Chapman of Randolph, Alexander Chapman, Kaylee Chapman and Trent Chapman all of Jamestown, Xavier Chapman of Sugar Grove and Taleb Brown of Celoron; a great grandson Kollin Chapman of Sugar Grove; a sister Diane Spangler of Bemus Point and a brother Fred Hildom of Pennsylvania. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Hildom November 20, 2009 and a grandson Jacob Chapman November 20, 2003. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Huber will officiate. Visitation will not be observed.
