Obituary of Sharon J. Visosky

Sharon J. Visosky, 74, of 248 Sate Street, died Monday May 15, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, in Select Specialty Hospital, Erie, surrounded by her family. A lifelong Jamestown resident, she was born November 15, 1942, the daughter of the late Carl and Lucy Jeanette Hansen Gustafson. She was a 1960 graduate of Jamestown High School. She had been employed by Jamestown Stamp as a office worker and also owned and operated the Bel View with her husband and family. Surviving are her husband Gary Visosky, whom she married January 27, 1962; three children Julie (Ricky) Solinger of Jamestown and James Visosky Jamestown who was a tireless caregiver and Jeff (Laurie) Visosky of New Hampshire; four grandchildren Ashley (Anthony) Querrieo, Amanda Holmes, Leesa (Robert) Gibson and Shawna Roppolo; five great grandchildren; a brother Robert (Sharon) Gustafson of Bemus Point and her granddog and best friend Bailey. Friends will be received from 4-6 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
