Rod was a very kind gentleman who I was very fortunate to get to know. I was first introduced to Rod by my flying instructor/mentor, Bob Dart.
Rod was a very talented man who always gave me very wise advice on my aircraft maintenance efforts over the years, especially engine inspection and problem solving. I admired and enjoyed his company, especially our conversations about float plane flying in particular.
He will be missed as he, like many I've known over years are hardly being replaced by "new bloods" in the aviation world. Rod is to me, is truly part of "The Greatest Generation" of men who loved to fly and maintain their aircraft with a keen eye for knowledge and skill.
I thank you, sir, that pleasure is mine forever.
