Obituary of Roy L. Davis

Roy L. Davis, 74, of 4885 Slide Joslyn Road, Bemus Point, passed away peacefully Sunday May 28, 2017 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 12, 1943 in Jamestown the son of the late Roy Davis Sr. and Beatrice Reed Davis. For over 50 years, Roy was co-owner of Lakewood Tops Inc. He was a co-founder of the Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association and enjoyed anything antique. He also enjoyed Model A Fords, attending Flea Markets and auctions. His favorite times were spent with his family. Surviving are a son, Jody Davis (fiancé Denise Giambra) of Jamestown; a daughter, Jamie Davis (Austin Forbes) of Knox, PA; six grandchildren; Zachary, Ashlan, Jessica, Nickie, Casey (Chris Nelson), and Shelbie; seven great-grandchildren, Drake, Hudson, Liam, Kaine, Khloe, MacKenzie, and Remington; and his "gal pal" of eight years, Mary Carpenter. Besides his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Bonnie J. Rosean Davis who died June 12, 2008. Roy's family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ibabao and his staff for the wonderful care given to him during his illness. A celebration of Roy's life will be held Saturday June 24, 2017 "up on the hill". In true Roy fashion, "Glad you met me".
