Obituary of J. William Tarbrake

J. William Tarbrake, 66, of Lakewood, died Wednesday July 19, 2017, in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. An area resident all of his life, he was born November 28, 1950, in Jamestown, a son of the late John and Nellie Haehn Tarbrake. He was a 1969 graduate of Southwestern Central School and later earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in Speech Communications from SUNY Geneseo. He owned and operated HW Motors in Lakewood. He was a member of Chautauqua Lake Antique Boat Club and a former member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers Mark (Christine) Tarbrake of Jamestown and Peter Tarbrake of Cassadaga; four nieces Morgan, Kelsey and Hannah Tarbrake of Jamestown and Kendra Tarbrake-Vega of Hagerstown, MD; nephew Andrew Tarbrake of Erie, PA; great nieces Madeline and Penny Tarbrake-Vega and great nephew Alexander Tarbrake-Vega and a sister in law Mary Tarbrake of Irondequoit, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
