Obituary of Audrey L. Carlson

Audrey L. Carlson, 94, of 2267 Summit Blvd., died Monday August 14, 2017, in UPMC Chautauqua WCA. A Jamestown native, she was born January 16, 1923, a daughter of the late A. William and Sylvia Brodine Osberg. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Chautauqua hardware as secretary to the president of the company. She was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, participating in the Wednesday Group and volunteering at the Thrift Store. For many years she bowled in several leagues. Surviving is a granddaughter Sara (David Waring) Mumby) of Denver, CO; great granddaughter Braunwyn Mumby of Grand Junction, CO; sister in law Nancy Osberg of Paoli, PA and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Carlson in 1978; a son David Carlson and a brother John Osberg. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Luke Fodor will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
