She married Thomas J. Harte on Jan.19, 1952 at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Olean. When her children were grown, she worked for several years as an Aide in the Southwestern Central School district.
Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakewood where she and her husband sang in the choir for many years. She enjoyed oil painting and was an accomplished artist, exhibiting her work in Senior Art shows. In earlier years, she enjoyed playing the piano, especially songs from Broadway shows.
Dot and Tom loved to travel and after retirement they were fortunate to have traveled throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Thomas; four daughters, Eileen Harte Carlson (Chris), Mary Liz Harte (Shelly Eric Sandau), Nancy Harte and Sheila Harte-Dmitriev (Vladimir); and a son, Christopher Harte (Lisa Carpentier.)
