Obituary of Robert H. Hendrickson

Robert H. Hendrickson, 72, of 3973 Griffiths Bay, Greenhurst, NY and Palm City, FL, died Friday September 15, 2017, in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA. A native of Rochester, NY, he was born June 9, 1945, a son of the late Harry and Edythe Mossbrooks Hendrickson. He was a graduate of Brockport State University. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he was employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a math teacher at Jamestown High School. He began his teaching career with the Churchville Chili School District. He was a former board member of the Girl Scouts and Jamestown Area Community Federal Credit Union and served as treasurer of Jamestown Teacher's Association. For the last thirteen years he was an ambassador driver for Chautauqua Institution. Surviving are his wife Martha Pihlblad Hendrickson, whom he married August 27, 1966; two children Diana Hendrickson of Stuart, FL and Christopher (Tracey) Hendrickson of Falconer; four grandchildren Jordan, Mackenzie, Jenna and Hailey Hendrickson and three siblings James Hendrickson of Rochester, NY, Christine (Scott) Curtis of Palm Bay, FL and Clarice (Thomas) Dziekonski of Clarkson, NY. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bemus Point Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
