Obituary of Raymond E. Clark
Raymond E. Clark, 82, of 330 Maloy Road, Niobe, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 in UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital.
He was born September 15, 1935 in East Rochester, NY, a son of the late Floyd and Mary Whitford.
He attended Sinclairville Elementary and Cassadaga Valley Central Schools.
Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1958-1960.
Before retirement, he was employed at Fancher Chair (formerly American Manufacturing), as a maintenance supervisor for many years. In earlier years he worked at Maloy Farms and Jamestown Container.
He had many interests including anything to do with trains, music, outdoor flowers and birds, cooking and baking with his daughter Bonnie, loved family get togethers, and will be missed greatly by his dog, Cookie.
He is survived by his children; Bonnie and Don Aiken, Gary Clark and Cindy Edsall, Connie Broberg; grandchildren: Faith and Bob Little, James and Jennifer Aiken, Jennifer Aiken and Greg Gonzalez, Casey Clark, Jeffrey Edsall, Sarah Clark, Janelle Clark, Mallory Clark, Jordan Broberg, Justin Broberg; great grandchildren: Wyatt Aiken, Sierra Aiken, Elliott Gonzalez, Serenity Clark; a brother Richard "Dick" and Darlene Clark; and many nieces and nephews, including Jackie Thies and Juanita LeBaron.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude I. Maloy Clark, whom he married June 12, 1964 and whom passed away December 1, 2005; sisters: Mary Whitford, Jean Bestor, Ethel Mae Perfetto; brothers: John "Jack" Clark, William Clark, Robert Clark; his mother in law Florence Maloy; and nephews Bill and Bob Whitford.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Kevin Hadley, pastor of Niobe Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Niobe.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
