Obituary of Maria L. Schroder

Maria L. Schroder, 14, of 23 Lake Street, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, in Women and Children's Hospital, Buffalo. A Jamestown resident all of her life, she was born September 26, 2003, a daughter of Robert Schroder and Tabatha Tuszynski. She was a freshman at Jamestown High School who loved spending time at the Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys and Girls Club of Jamestown. She attended Stockton Community Church and enjoyed playing soccer. Gifted artistically, Maria let that show through in her writing and singing. Surviving besides her parents are her aunt and uncle Barbara and Harry Silvis IV, with whom she made her home; three sisters Katelyn Schroder, Annabella and Emma Murphy all of Jamestown; grandparents Marcia (Kevin Mylett) Hamilton of Jamestown, Daniel (Karen) Schroder of Sinclairville, Janet Young of Gowanda, Rick Tuszynski of Gowanda and Doug (Brenda) Riley of Jamestown; great grandmother Frances Schroder of Ellington; several aunts uncles and cousins and her comfort dogs Chevy and Princess. She was preceded in death by a step grandfather Wilson Hamilton; great grandparents Lewis Schroder, Ila and Charles Meacham, Sandra and Alfred Young and Vivian and Ernie Proctor. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and for one hour prior to the service Thursday in the funeral home.
