Obituary of Vivian B. Hasson

Vivian B. Hasson, 85, of Memory Garden, formerly of 31 N. Chicago Ave., WE, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Sunday November 5, 2017 in UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital. She was born July 7, 1932 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Gust and Bertha Anderson. Vivian was a 1950 graduate of Jamestown High School and had worked at the former Watson Mfg. Co and did cleaning for several local businesses. She was an avid reader, lover of chocolate, and a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. Surviving are a son: Ron (Debbie) Hasson Sr. of Ashville; a daughter: Lorie (Al) Reynolds of Jamestown; eight grandchildren: Ron (Rachel) Hasson Jr. of Frewsburg; Brian (Ganna) Hasson of Austin, TX; Kipp (Laurie) Reynolds of Falconer; Ashley (Joe) Hatcher of Erie, PA; Lisa Hoch (Jason Woodard) of Jamestown; Wendy (Matt) Ryan of Ashville; Billy Hoch of Fort Bragg, NC; and Jody Hoch (Dustin Griffin) of Jamestown; 11 great grandchildren: Peyton, Sammy, and Winnie Ryan; Lizzie Sandy; Lily and Luke Reynolds; Alex Hasson; Adriana, Liam, and Finn Hasson; Ethan Grant; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip J. Hasson whom she married March 23, 1957 and who died July 28, 2005; and a sister, Elsie Connelly. Vivian's family would like to extend their sincere thank you to Alstar EMS, UPMC Chautauqua WCA Emergency Room and 4D, and Memory Garden for the care given to her during her illness. Vivian was a kind hearted, fun loving, and witty soul who has donated her body to science and per her wishes, visitation will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials in Vivian's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
