Obituary of James E. Frye

James E. Frye, 83, of Clymer Center Road Panama, NY, passed away Thursday November 9, 2017 in his home. He was born September 14, 1934 in Hunker, PA the son of the late James E. Frye and Mable Frye Asel. James was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1952 until 1955. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and hunting. Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Orie) Tubbs of Panama and Deborah Frye; five grandchildren: Coty, Greg, Heather, Jessie, and Jamie; several great grandchildren, including Mackenzie and Madison; and several family members in Chester, West Virginia. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Helen Butler Frye whom he married March 12, 1955 and who died January 7, 2017. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Panama Union Cemetery.
