I an Ed Mattson's daughter. My sister, Diane, and I had such a lovely visit the summer of 2016 with Joanne. She served us ice cream with strawberries and had so many things to share with us. She would not let us go until we promised to stop by Petersons and get a loaf of my Dad's favorite bread to take to him. She even called to make sure they still had one.
She was such a delightful person.

Dear Janell and Jarrett,
I was very sad to hear of the recent passing of your Mom. Your Mom and Dad always felt like family at those wonderful Christmas celebrations at Aunt Gig and Uncle Chuck’s home where the Bloomquists, Hagstroms and Larsons gathered together each year.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We were saddened to hear of Joanne’s passing through my father, Ted Larson. Joanne was always cooking for us when we visited and on occasion even hosted us overnight. She was so fun to visit with and will be greatly missed by all.

By far one of the sweetest women I have ever known. Joanne never without a smile and kind words. I will cherish the memories of July fourth celebrations of years past. I know she and Howie will be looking down smiling over their family.

Oh, Joanne, it's the end of an era. I don't think I ever set foot in First Church without Joanne being there. She was really a light to everyone she met. And singing in the choir with Howie was an adventure.Just kidding, Howie! Many a good laugh was had with this wonderful couple, and they both are missed. My prayers for strength and comfort to all of their family.

Joanne was such a dear friend to my mom Martha and through the years became a dear friend and inspiration to me. Her legacy for me will be her unwavering faith; sacrifice for others and willingness to go the extra mile for someone; positive outlook on life; infectious smile and true interest in the well-being of others.
Joanne never stopped giving of herself, a true model of Christian humility and character. My heartfelt sympathy to all the family. May God hold you all in the palm of His hand as you go through this trying time. God Bless!

Please accept my condolence over the passing of Joanne. We met when my husband, children and I were members of First Lutheran Church. Later, our daughter, Rachel worked at Peterson Farm with her. Joanne was always happy to greet everyone and was such an enthusiastic member of her many interests. She contributed so much to so many places.
