To George, Marie and families ... with love and sympathy during this time on your Mom passing. To Aunt Mary, I will always remember you, sharing Woodlawn Avenue as home, with many, many Loverme, SanFilippo, Schifano and Giordano family times together at your house, my Dad and Moms and Grandma's. Helping you mow the lawn, shovel the breezeway sidewalk so you could get the mail, clean the pool, bringing you rabbits to eat, watching the fireflies on those balmy summer evenings as we sat together with views of the Curtis Farm fields from your patio. Good times, The best, great memories forever. Wish you a great journey to joy and eternal happiness. Thank you Aunt Mary with Love from your nephew, Paulie.

I am so sorry about the loss of my favorite aunt and you mom and nana. She was a great lady! I remember getting out of high school and heading to Carnahans to get my hug most days! Our trip to Hawaii is one that will never be forgotten and I know my mom Rosina is heart broken. She will meet up the other sisters and dear Uncle Frank!!!

Dearest cousins George and Marie,
Where do I even begin to list the whole lifetime of memories that I have of my dear Aunt Mary and your dear mother? There's no time in my childhood—even from my very earliest recollections—that she and your dad weren't a part of my consciousness.
Two memories stand out the most:
One Sunday we were invited to your house for dinner. (I always thought your house on Woodlawn Avenue was the loveliest in the family. I even looked at it when it first went up for sale and I was thinking of moving to Jamestown.) One of my parents randomly mentioned that I liked reading books. For your mom there was no end of praising me for this, and she showed me what I seem to recall were built-in bookshelves full of books, either in the dining room or an area of wall between the dining and living rooms.
When I was 17 and in 12th grade, a friend and I walked into Carnahan's. I said to him, "Watch this. No matter how far away we are when she notices me, she'll call out 'Petey!' and run over to grab my cheeks and kiss me." Sure enough, I caught her eye and waved, she called out 'Petey!' from across the store ("Petey" at 17....) and ran over to kiss me. My friend was on the floor somewhere among the racks laughing his head off.
May her memory be eternal, hers and Uncle Frank's, and may they rest in peace eternally with God and with each other. Such a very long time she waited to see him again.
Much love to you and your families,
Cousin Peter (Petey!)

Dear Mary: It was a pleasure knowing you when we were working at Carnahan's together. I also found it to be wonderful having Marie and George as my students back at Washington Jr. High. I am happy both were so successful. I am so very sorry I could not visit Lind's as I have difficulty ambulating these days.
God bless you and your family. Joe

Marie and George, it was very sad to see the passing of your mom. Remember her well from the old Carnahan's and the new, she was a real sweetheart. She was one of the good ones. The two of you are a real testimonial to her and your dad. Remember you well from JHS. Hope your kids make you as proud as you mom was of you.
