I only found out about Ortha's passing when I read her brother's obituary!! I am very sorry for your loss several years ago!! I was on the same floor of a dorm with Ortha at Geneseo for one year!! Ortha was a great person!! Always enjoyed talking to her!! My belated condolences to all the family!!

I was so sorry to hear of Cousin Ortha’s passing. It has been awhile since she had written and She was so good at that and giving a phone call every now and then. The last phone call I got a chance to talk to Sarah ,too. Ortha saved so many memories and knew so many details about our families. I remember spending time with her in our youth . I enjoyed her letters and calls in recent times. A special lady. Tony, Sarah, Andrew and grandchildren know that she loved you all deeply.

Uncle Tony, Andrew and Sarah, Aunt Ortha will always be one of my favorite people. Her (sometimes) late night phone calls would always make me smile and laugh. She was so so kind and would always see the best parts of a person. I'll miss her crazy stories from her wild youth and her stories of growing up. At last count there are 26 nieces and nephews and she could tell you each and every name! What an amazing woman. Aunt Ortha - I'll miss you! Uncle Tony, Andrew and Sarah, I wish I could be there today with you all. You're definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Tony, Andrew, Sarah and grand children, Please accept our concern for all of you as you face life without Ortha! We are thankful that we were able to come in July, have supper with Tony and Ortha, and then spend a day at Chautauqua with her. Unfortunately we are unable to come to the funeral. We would like to be with you and the extended family. Hopefully we will be in New York sometime this summer and can connect with Tony and perhaps others again. Ortha's passing has left the world a poorer place. She was one of the gentlest, and kindest persons ever -an example of goodwill, forbearance, and love to all who met her. She remains an example for us all. She will be greatly missed.
