Obituary of Richard N. Ford, Sr.

Richard N. Ford, Sr., 64, of 19 Superior St., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at home. A lifelong area resident, he was born on Feb. 3, 1954 in Jamestown, a son of the late Henry N. and Bernice Canada Ford. He attended Jamestown High School. He was employed at Titan X for many years, retiring in February of 2016. He was a lifelong member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football. Richard is survived by four children: Richard N. Ford Jr. of Jamestown, Candy Scott of Kennedy, Jamie (Willie Caruso) Ford of Jamestown, and Jason (Erin Neid) Ford of Sinclairville; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother Larry Ford; two sisters: Bonnie Whalen and Tammy Kester; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra L. Ford, whom passed away April 16, 2017. Family and friends will be received from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018 in the Lind Funeral Home, to share memories. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W.
