Dad, now you are free of discomfort and at peace. You were a wonderful Father to us. Your love of music and dance taught us to appreciate all music. Thank you for that. Thank you for buying that Hammond and allowing me to express my musical soul. Whenever I hear your music especially the songs’Don’t Worry About Me’, ‘Autumn In NewYork’, ‘Jada’-which you sang to me when little and ‘Misty’... and many more...I’ll smile and think of you..
So long,Dad . Hope you are with relatives and friends enjoying in eternal paradise .
Love and God’s Blessings,Deb(‘Chick..’Little Chicken,’ ‘The Deb’... had a few nicknames,Dad)

I am so very sorry for your lose. I remember Tony and Mary from our old neighborhood market in Jamestown off Falconer Street. We lived on Peach Street and had to pass by everyday before and after school. He was always so kind to us and welcomed us with a smile. I even worked for him a few odd jobs from time to time. I really loved his subs and his secret sauce that I could never get out of him. He will be missed.

Dear Mary, Fran, Roslyn, and Deb,
Tony, "Mr. Rainier" to me in my childhood, is a man who is dear to my heart. He has such a special place in my childhood memories. His home with all of you was my second home, and I loved visiting you all. Tony gave me friendly smiles, and paid careful attention to things I said, and and I talked a lot. Some men bring home the bacon, but he brought home the most delicious T-bone steaks I have ever had. In childhood, when he went on trips, he would bring Fran and Ros the most beautiful fringed jackets, the kind that I thought Indian princesses would wear. He took pride in his children's athleticism. During my sleepover in Ros and Fran's room we would talk forever, and sometimes Mary would call up to use, "your father is getting angry," but they never came upstairs and they showed such patience. When Ros was engaged about her relationship with Sal being exciting, Tony had the happiest laugh- what a blessing! Both Tony and Mary took our feelings seriously, and shared in our up and downs, the best gift that people can give. Heaven was made for such a man as you, Tony, and we'll see you there!

Growing up on Van Buren St and the Falconer Tot Lot, Rainier's Market was our go to place for Baseball cards, candy (including candy cigarettes), snacks, and picking up meat for dinner. Mr Rainier was patient with us and would occasionally offer wise advice. He was a big presence for many neighborhood kids back in the 70s. Condolences to his family for your loss.
