Obituary of Ross S. Rigoli

Ross S. Rigoli, 89, of 28 Cutting Street, Jamestown, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing. He was the husband of Jean Carlson Rigoli whom he married February 20, 1953 and who died June 30, 2012. Ross was born October 7, 1928 in Jamestown, one of eight children of the late Sebastian "Busty" and Mary Conti Rigoli, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked in the heat treat department of Proto Tool for 30 years. Ross was a member of the Lakewood American Legion and enjoyed hunting & fishing, playing pool, was excellent at horseshoes and loved any time spent with his grandchildren. Surviving are three sons: Ross (Lynn) Rigoli, Jr. of Grand Haven, MI, Thomas (Brad Lindquist) Rigoli of Jamestown and David (Shanna Jack) Rigoli of Allendale, MI; six grandchildren: Julie (Matthew) Weller, Stephanie (Brian) Mock, Whitney-Beth (Justin) Burrows, Riley Brooke Rigoli (Brad VanDeVusse), David (Amy) Rigoli, Jr. and Elis (Brittney) Stewart; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Josie (Doug) Brian of Panama City, FL and Marylou Scherer of Stevens Point, WI; and a brother, Thomas P. (Michelle) Rigoli of Los Altos, CA. In addition to his wife, Jean, Ross was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Rigoli; two sisters, Fran Gatto and Jennie Gagliardo; and two brothers, Anthony and James Rigoli. The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, for two hours prior to the service.
