Obituary of Paul R. Peru

Paul R. Peru, Sr., 70, of 3196 Matson Road, died Sunday May 6, 2018, in his home. He was born May 8, 1947, in Westfield, NY, a son of the late Howard and Gladys Ringer Peru. For 33 years he was employed by Barnes Construction as a laborer. He enjoyed building things but more than anything he loved watching his grandkids participate in sports. Surviving are his wife of 50 years Diane Darling Peru, whom he married July 11, 1967; four children Karen (Lee) Bucklin of Jamestown, Kelly (Jamie) Brown of Warren, PA, Charlene (Josh) Maring of Brookville, PA and Paul Peru of Falconer; grandchildren Diana (Mark) Myott of California, Charlene and Ashley DePane, Melanie and Brittany Gifford and Jake Anderson all of Jamestown, Chelsea (Steven) Michael of Kennedy, Joshua and Danielle Maring of Brookville, PA and Jacob Peru, Alyssa Peru and Natalie Bunce all of Falconer; great grandchildren Cole Anderson, Nevaeh Gifford, Cody Latta and Alexis Michael; three brothers Stanley Peru of Falconer, Gerald "Butch" (Karen) Peru of Corry, PA and Howard (Joyce) Peru of Randolph and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Michelle Lindsey March 6, 2006; a grandson Larry Anderson June 4, 2004 and a sister Gertrude Pickle. The funeral will be held at noon Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Dayle F. Keefer will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
