I was a student of Mr. Rhinehart for three years in the early 1970’s. He was a patient and very competent teacher and helped to shape my career as a designer-builder. I have and will always have the greatest respect for him. He was a good man.

I was so sorry to learn of your loss of Mr. Rhinehart. He was my Driver Education teacher in the 1960's at JHS, and I know that I and my fellow students were glad to have him as a teacher. He taught us well!

Mr. Rhinehart had one way to teach us in drafting class; his way, the right way. Probably taught me more than any other teacher at JHS and I thank him for that. R.I.P. Joe Trass, Electrical Engineer, Class of '68.

My deepest condolences. This wonderful man was the most patient and kind teacher. I had him for Driver’s Ed and he taught me how to drive in the classic “K Car” in the summer of 1986. He had nerves of steel! Always understanding with a warm smile. I was lucky to have known him. May he RIP.

Family members,
There are many kind and wonderful teachers we remember from our days at J.H.S. in the 1960's. Brooke was one of them. When I received my teaching degree and returned to Jamestown, I saw another side of Brooke. As a man fighting for teachers and our students education. Especially when he had the knowledge of what the contracts stated and courage to lead the teachers union through many difficult years of fighting the Board of Education during many contract disputes. What a bright, articulate and amazing man. While I have my memories, I hope the family shares in their times of happiness, the times of strength, the times of wisdom, the time of love and then hang onto those moments as long as you can. May God bless you.

Mrs. Rhinehart and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Rhinehart. I have always thought of him over the years as he was my favorite teacher at JHS. I had him the year before he retired for drafting. Being the only girl in my class, he always looked out for me and even bought me a carnation for Valentine's Day. Several years later, you both attended my wedding. Please know that he touched my life and will be remembered as a wonderful, caring man. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so very saddened to learn or Brook's passing. I met Brook in 1972 during the Jamestown teachers' strike. He was such a calming influence at that time.
During that time and over the years since, his wonderful sense of humor, kindness, compassion, and helpfulness have served to make him one of the most well liked people I have ever known. I don't believe there is anyone who disliked him.
Please accept my sincere condolences. You have all been blessed to have been a part of his family. I have been blessed to have had the chance to know him even a little bit. He was a wonderful man.
