Obituary of Beverly J. Fredlund

Beverly J. Fredlund, 75, of 270 Cole Ave., Jamestown, passed away Wednesday July 11, 2018 in her home. She was born March 18, 1943 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Milton and Naomi "Noni" McCune Thrall. Bev was a 1961 graduate of Jamestown High School and a 1964 graduate of Erie Tech, now Erie Community College as a dietician. She began working at the former Jamestown General Hospital, then at Heritage Green Nursing Facility. After homemaking for a few years, she worked for House of Pierce, Nutrisystems as a dietician, and Pats Loft, a store in Jamestown. After retirement and being a lady of leisure, she decided to "start her next career" at Wegman's as a Barista in their coffee bar, retiring for the next time after many years there. Bev was a very gregarious people person. She loved talking and meeting people everywhere she went, especially when she and her husband toured the country in her red Corvette. Bev's husband David was a home builder, and she was always there working with him on their many homes. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, David A. Fredlund; a daughter, Beth (David) Fredlund Rau of Mooresville, NC; two granddaughters: Alexandria Cusimano (Nathan Chadbourne) and Madison Cusimano, both of NC; a brother, Lance (Darlene) Thrall of SC; and a niece, Lori (Brian) Pinzini of SC. Beverly, always called "Mama" by her family, was waiting to meet her first great granddaughter, Charlotte Beverly Chadbourne, due to arrive this fall. Bev's family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. John Lamancuso and Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care for their wonderful care and support given to Bev and the family during her illness. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 28, 2018 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the family home, 270 Cole Ave., Jamestown. Bev loved flowers, especially carnations and has asked that anyone wishing to send flowers, please send them to someone you love in her memory. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, or Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, 20 W Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
