To the Cheney family,
My sincere sympathy to Mr. Cheney's children, grandchildren and entire family. What a rich and fulfilling life he led and what a privilege to pass from this life in the very home in which he was born and on the farm that he so clearly loved. His service to the Frewsburg school district was during the time that I started my career as a teacher there. I had the pleasure of knowing his son Steve as a student, and also working with his grandchildren in my role as a school counselor. It was at that time that I also had the pleasure of getting to know Mo and Judy. He certainly had a lot of experiences in those 98 years and I am sure that will provide treasured memories for each of you.
My condolences,
Gwen Larson

I have the best memories of Uncle Henry. The first thing I ever drove besides a bicycle was a tractor. I don’t remember my age exactly, but I do remember Henry teaching me how to drive the tractor. For a boy back then learning to drive anything was BIG. One phrase in particular has stuck with me “Be careful not to ride the clutch.” He was a patient and supportive teacher. I enjoyed my time on the farm and look back on it fondly. Those were great times made even better because Henry was there. Paul Cheney

All of the attributes listed in the obituary are so true! Henry was such a great neighbor and friend to our family for as long as I can remember. There are so many memories of growing up in Kiantone with all the farmers helping each other out and working together when needed. All anyone had to do was ask! Your dad was the last one remaining, they really were a great generation. We were all so lucky and blessed to grow up among them. Gary Swanson
