Obituary of Julia A. Penhollow

Julia A. "Bobbie" Penhollow, 71, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly at 2:34 p.m. Thursday, August, 23, 2018, in her home. A lifelong area resident, she was born October 27, 1946 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Hazel Bull Frary. In earlier years she was employed in the mailroom for the Jamestown Post Journal for several years. She had also worked as a logger and truck driver for many years. She loved spending time with her family and in her spare time enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Surviving are her three children; Sheila (Mike) Pollaro, James Baran both of Jamestown, Dawn (Tim) Brown of Dewittville, NY, six grandchildren; Monica Osborne, Mikie Pollaro, Matt Pollaro, Casey Colley, Alex Colley, Jasmine Baran, nine great grandchildren, six siblings; Duane Franklin, Agnes Jenkins, Sheila Lane, Helen Garcia, Jack Frary, Buck Frary, her step-mother, Roberta Franklin and a step-sister April Pollaro. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Frary. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Penhollow, pastor of the Jamestown Community Chapel will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home.
