I recently learned of Jim's passing, so this is a belated condolence to the family. Jim was a good person and a good friend through the years when we both taught a Jamestown Community. His mind was sharp and his knowledge was extensive. He brought a high level of integrity and realism to all of his professional associations. I valued his counsel and keen intellect. While we vacationed in Florida, we met Jim and Georgia on Sanibel. I will always remember their hospitality and friendship. My sincere condolences to the Wellman family. Bill White

James W. Wellman, wow what a great man he was and what a great uncle to me too. I loved uncle Jim he sure was funny but also can be serious (kinda). Even though he’s gone in heaven he’s never gone in my mind. I LOVE YOU Uncle Jim, Alexis Beckerink.
