Obituary of Patricia L. Cline
Patricia L. Cline, 91, formerly of 153 Connecticut Ave., passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Lutheran in Jamestown.
She was the widow of Glenn W. Cline, whom she married September 15, 1951 and who died February 28, 1998.
Pat was born November 1, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Frank T. and Marian Lammers Lawson. She was a 1944 graduate of Jamestown High School and member of the A'Cappella choir, and remained an active member of the class reunion committee.
Pat retired as administrative assistant to WCA Hospital's chief executive officer, Murray Marsh, and in earlier years had been registrar of the Cornell Law School, worked for Christ First United Methodist Church as a secretary and was also employed by the former Bank of Jamestown.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Throughout the years, Pat enjoyed singing in the choirs of First Presbyterian, Christ First United Methodist and during the summer at Chautauqua Institution.
Pat was the 2005 recipient of Jamestown's Interclub "Woman of the Year" award and was also a WCA Hospital Volunteer of the Year.
Her memberships include the Philanthropic Educational Organization, Norden Women's Club, Mozart Club, Marvin Community House, Vikings IOV Lodge #65, Lucille Wright Air Museum and Lucille Ball Little Theatre.
Pat loved having a very active social life. She never met a person that didn't become a cherished friend.
Surviving is a daughter, Linda (Ronald) Carlson of Jamestown and a son, Glenn T. "Ted" (Brenda) Cline of Casa Grande, AZ; three grandchildren: Lexia Ann (Kevin) Dennison of Lakewood, NY, Amber Lyn Cline (Tyler Wirth) and Matthew Glenn Cline, both of Casa Grande, AZ; and a great-grandson, Corbin Thomas Dennison of Lakewood.
Pat's family wishes to express their profound thanks for the loving care given to 'Patsy' over her during four years at the Lutheran Home.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bellinger Chapel of First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert J. Hagel will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
