Obituary of Harper Judith Dies

Harper Judith Dies, infant daughter of Andrew and Jessica Dies of Ashville, NY, was carried to Heaven in the arms of an angel to those awaiting her there at birth on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 in UPMC Chautauqua. In addition to her parents she is survived by her grandparents: Robert (Judith) Dies, Jennifer (Cody Aten) Mabes; great grandparents: Robert (Cheryl) Harvey, Joseph (Kathleen) Walz, Patricia Dies; great-great grandparents: Beatrice Emules, Evelyn Harvey; great uncles: Daniel (Sue) Colwell, Terry (Nancy) Colwell, Randy and Stephen Colwell, Louis M. and Myrl J. Williams; aunts: Casey Mabes, Brandi Briggs, Abby Labadie; great aunts: Kris Walz, Kimberly (Richard) Prince, Allison (Clemmie) Murdock, Carolyn Colwell; great-great uncle: Robert Walz, great-great aunts: Vonda Walz, Eleanor Nelson; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by great uncle: Robert Colwell; great aunt: Linda Colwell; great grandparents: Gordon (Dorothy) Colwell, James Dies; great-great grandparents: Betty Walz, Ethel N. Williams, Michael Emules, David (Helen) Dies; great-great uncle: Philip Walz, and great-great aunt: Joyce Frances. The family would like to thank Donna Barber, Megan, Amy, Ashton, Megan, Linda, Katie, and Megan from UPMC Chautauqua and a special thank you to Dawn who went above and beyond. Also a thank you to the Lanes Women's Group. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Scott Smith, of the Busti Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service (from 5-6 p.m.) on Monday in the funeral home.
