I will always remember Jim as a faithful and caring servant of the Lord. It was a pleasure to fellowship with him over many years. I look forward in seeing Jim again in glory!

Sending my sympathy to Jim's sister and remaining relatives. May the comforting arms of Jesus surround you in your grief and loss.
I have known Jim and his parents most of my life after we moved to Jamestown in the 40's and my parents became fast friends of Jim's family. God gave Jim a beautiful voice to use and he sang at both my parent's memorial services in 1986 and 1992. He was a gentle soul who loved the Lord and sang His praise. He was full of old Swedish stories and enjoyed the times our families were together - often for a dinner or just coffee and something sweet - maybe one of the cookies he started baking.
Peace to his memory.

My sincere condolences to the Swan family. Jimmie and I worked together for his Dad at the Kendall station, and remained in touch over the years via long distance. He was always concerned for others, as in my fighting Stage IV Cancer, and Prayed for me every day. I will miss hearing about him, as I know that he is now with Mom and Dad, and watching over everyone. The flesh has gone...The Spirit lives..

To say that Jim and I go back a long way is an understatement. When I entered this world, 3 month old Jim was my neighbor 5 doors down the street. Our lives, thru the ensuing decades, had several parallels. We both graduated from high school in 1957, from college in 1961, and seminary in 1965 (albeit different schools in every case). We also both were involved, at various times in our professional careers, with broadcast ministries. As we passed thru life and our paths took us in several directions, Jim was always a friend of long-standing and it was always good to run into him when we'd be back visiting in Jamestown. I particularly appreciated his coming to my mother's burial several years ago. It's not pleasant losing a contemporary, but I've been rejoicing in the knowledge of the glorious welcome home that he has experienced and I someday will share.
