As a young designer looking for work in 1992, Nick gave me a wonderful opportunity. And although we only worked together a short time, Nick was extremely supportive and influential. One of very few and cherished true mentors in my life. Thank you, Nicola.

Nic and I knew each other for almost 40 years. When he was an architect in Detroit I called on him and he was always willing to listen and became a mentor to me early in my career!
I followed him professionally in most of his different job adventures and he always saw the big picture and tried to get those around him to understand those important details. He became a friend and we spoke almost every 6-8 weeks for years and would laugh and tell stories of our families and work. Nic worked for me at Inscape and had a fantastic way of looking at things to make sense about all the complications of design and mfg. I miss him, his counsel and friendship very much. He was a designer and architect to the core and left his mark in many places.
I look forward someday to seeing him again in the next life and finding out what he has been working on since his departure.

Nicola (Nick) and I were friends in grade school, Junior High and on into our early years at Senior High in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. We didn’t stay in touch with each other after high school but had some very good times together in our grade school and early teen years. I lost touch with Nick after High School. A very talented artist at a very young age! Anyone who spent any time with Nick in his youth was a witness to the development of a very fine artist and a very nice man. My sincere condolences to the family of Nicolas Balderi.
Sincerely, Richard Comly and family
Boulder, Colorado

Nick was a nice guy that attended Pierce Junior HS and Grosse Pointe High School, Michigan Class of 1969.
I remember, Nick, modeling at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.
Like many of our guys, from High School, no class photograph.
Treasure his memories.
