I'm so very sorry Brain for the loss of your dad. Dad's teach us so much .. some we want to hear and some we don't …. but need. I know he struggled for a while and now is enjoying peace without pain. Life goes to fast, these are the times that remind us of that. Hug, kiss and pray for your family every day and let go of frustrations or anger. You are an amazing dad, husband, father, worker and friend. Hope to see you soon.

I was saddened to see the notice of Brian's passing. It caused me to stop and remember the years Brian and I were friends. The fun times when he introduced me to pistol and skeet shooting, the many hunting experiences, and the pick-up basketball games in my parents back yard, the poker games, conversation during his recovery from hip surgery. I wanted to say that my life was made better knowing Brian as a friend.
So long friend.

I received notice of Brian's passing with a heavy heart. I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Bonnie and the entire Whalen clan. I first met Brian through trap shooting many years ago and over that time came to cherish his friendship. Brian was not only a fine competitor but went above and beyond to give back to the sport he loved through involvement in the NYSATA and the ATA. He and Bonnie were an integral part of tournaments held at the NYSATA facility and were instrumental in "making things happen". Brian will be missed by all and fondly remembered for his love of trapshooting and his dedication to the sport.
