Beverly: I am sooooo sorry for your loss. We remember Rich fondly from years and years ago when we both worked with the Jamestown Human Rights Commission and he was with the Council on Alcoholism. I remember that the Council was in its infancy and he and Dave Harris were pretty much the whole organization. Rich was a very valuable member of the Human Rights Commission and we always enjoyed working with him. Life is just too short and the time passes so quickly with our loved ones. Just saw Rich's obituary this morning (11/18/18). Condolences to the family and friends. I enjoyed knowing him while working at Family Services and again at Aspire. He struck me as a loving soul and a quiet spirit. He fought a good fight for a long time and showed compassion for his clients and co-workers bill white Port St. Lucie, Florida

I am very sorry to read of the loss of, Mr. Cavness. He was a very faithful and dedicated man, married 38 years! I won't pretend to know what you're going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love, is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is, John 6:40, which says: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day.” I hope that this verse will also comfort you, and I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time.
