Obituary of Rose Marie Grimm

Rose Marie Grimm, 88, formally of Jamestown, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018, in the Tuscany Gardens Assisted Living Facility, Pataskala, OH. A lifelong area resident, she was born May 14, 1930 in Randolph, NY, a daughter of the late Frank Anthony and Evelyn Margaret Archer Zerba. Marie was a 1946 graduate of Randolph Central School and a graduate of Jamestown Community College. She also attended the University of Buffalo. She was an independent distributor and coordinator of Shaklee Products in the Jamestown area for over 30 years. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she was an Eucharistic Minister to the homebound and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Jamestown Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Marvin Community House, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Auxiliary and the Lakewood-Busti Senior Citizens. She also enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with her family and friends who were so close to her heart. Her late husband Paul retired after a 21 year career with the U.S. Air Force and during that time Marie and Paul traveled extensively, living in Spokane, WA, Topeka and Salina KS, Goldsboro, NC, Cheyenne, WY, Alamogordo, NM and also Pfortzheim, Germany. They also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and other places as part of their Shaklee business. Surviving are her children: Gregory J. (Judy) Grimm of Randolph, NY, Susan Grimm and Gary (Mesarat) Grimm all of Pataskala, OH. Her grandchildren: Bethanne and Jacob Grimm both of Randolph, NY, Christy and Noah Grimm, Tyler (Chantal), Kiarra and Quinn Sapp all of Columbus, OH, her two great grandchildren: Kumiko and Ren Sapp both of Columbus, OH. Her nephew, Earl C. Lowe, Jr. and her niece, Kathleen Lowe both of OH. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Grimm whom she married May 1, 1948 in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Randolph and who died July 20, 2002, their daughter, Cynthia and son Robert Grimm both died at the infant age and her sister, Margaret Ann Lowe who died in 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in Holy Apostles Parish at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor will be celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Patrick's Cemetery, Randolph, NY. Friends will be received from 5-8 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2018, in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led by Rev. Mende at 4:45 pm Tuesday in the funeral home.
