He also served on the borough council of Sugar Grove for several years and was a member of the Sugar Grove American Legion. Glenn was an avid antiquer, both buying and selling antiques. He enjoyed his vegetable gardens throughout the years, traveling and spending time with his family. Glenn always had an individual and special relationship with each of his five grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louella (Parment) McIntyre, whom he married on October 30, 1954; two children: Rhonda (Dennis Haner) Schnars and Kevin (Monica) McIntyre, both of Sugar Grove; five grandchildren: Corey Schnars and Ryan Schnars, both of Sugar Grove, Kolby (Jackie) McIntyre of Waupun, WI, Emily (Joshua) Lee of Hornell, NY and Sara (Brandon Fain) McIntyre of Sugar Grove; a brother-in-law, Donald Sweeney of Lakewood and sister-in-law, Shirley McIntyre of Jamestown; as well as many nieces and nephews, including Brian McIntyre, with whom Glenn has been especially close. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters: Gerald, Lyle, Richard and Lewis McIntyre, Allene Hamilton, Freeda Fosberg, Crystal Sweeney and Shirley Tilburg. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home, led by Glenn's nephew, Randy Sweeney. Burial will follow in the Busti Cemetery.
