Fond memories of a warm and welcoming woman when Ray invited me to preach in an evangelical event at Harrisville in the early seventies. Our years in the old northern New York conference were blessed with good folks like Barbara who loved Jesus and all God’s people

To the family of Barb: I had the pleasure of meeting Barb first at the Boys & Girls Club where we had many wonderful conversations. Then when I joined TOPS there was Barb and her son John. Barbara was the most unselfish and loving person I ever knew. When she was able we spoke almost every day and what I would give to hear her voice just one more time. She loved her family so deeply and truly cared about anyone she every met. She could and would tell you the life stories about people you never met or would meet. It might seem she was just being chatty but actually she really cared about these people whether it was an old friend or someone she met in a doctor's office or a grocery line. If I ever had a conflict in my life and I shared it with Barbara, in her eyes I was always right. What a special thing to be loved unconditionally. I learned so much about caring for family and friends from her. She was so much a part of my life I will miss her every day until we meet again in the presence of our Savior. I am confident that if my home in heaven is not close to hers God will hear about it until she has me moved. I look forward to that day!
