Obituary of Carol L. Raecher

Carol L. Raecher, 73, of High Acres Drive, Bemus Point, passed away Saturday December 15, 2018 at UPMC Chautauqua Hospital. She was born May 4, 1945 in Salamanca, NY the daughter of the late Harold F. and Pasqualena Rose Bassignana Wass. Carol was a Licensed Practical Nurse who worked for the state. For many years she was a volunteer fireman at the Seneca Nation Fire Department. She loved camping, reading, crossword puzzles, and any time she got to spend with her family especially with her grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Richard Keezer of Missouri and John Wass of Salamanca, NY, her son, James W. (Julie) Howard of Ashville, NY; her daughter, Tina Howard of Jamestown, NY; five grandchildren, Natashia (James), Brandie, Jessy, James, Hailey; and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell F. Raecher, and two brothers Raymond and Fredrick Wass. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
