My sincere condolences to the family of Richard Williams. I have known him for the past three years and, along with my sister-in-law (Elizabeth Lawson) attended church with “Rich” at Heritage SNF every Sunday. Rich was an avid puzzler, and for the past two years was able to produce countless wonderful landscapes, still-life and nostalgic scenes for the residents, the halls at Heritage, and many for my sister-in-law’s room! He received many compliments and when visiting, it was part of the routine to go down to his workspace and have him lift the cardboard mats and show us his projects from the week! Not much irritated him, except maybe a missing piece or a puzzle with more than 500 pieces! He was also not fond of abstract or impressionistic scenes so we both heaped on the praise when he finished one! Just last week an aide brought him to my sister-in-law’s room to see the gallery of his work on display, all of which brighten her room, and her life there. Often I would come in the lobby and see him wheeling through. I would smile and ask “Hey, Rich, did you stay out of trouble this week?” He would grin and say, “Never!” and keep right on moving! Goodbye Rich! You will be missed, and you were a blessing to many, including me!!

I loved my father in law so much, I will miss him every day. The best man god put on this earth, so blessed to have had him in my life. I will treasure my memories of him and I every day. Rest In Peace dear man, my love goes with you always.
