Obituary of Helen E. Rowe

Helen E. Rowe, 83, of Heritage Village in Gerry, formerly of 28 New York Ave., Lakewood, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at UPMC Chautauqua.

She was born August 1, 1935 in Laconia, NH, a daughter of the late Harold and Isabelle McIntire Day.

Helen had been employed in the Jamestown office of the Chautauqua Area Regional Transit System (CARTS).

She was a long time member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer for many years.

Helen is survived by two sons: Warren M. (Amy) Rowe of Ashville, NY and Richard A. (Tammy) Rowe of Colorado Springs, CO; five grandchildren: Jillian (Jeremiah) Wallace of Clymer, NY, Brandy Rowe of Ashville, and John Rowe, William Rowe and Brianna Rowe, all of Colorado; a great-granddaughter, Teagan Grace Wallace; and a sister, Dottie Duvault of Belmont, OH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Coralyn.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the Lakewood United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mike Childs will offficiate.
