Obituary of Charles R. Christy, IV

Charles R. "Roy" Christy, IV, 78, of 150 E. Main St., Westfield, formerly of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Presque Isle Rehabilitation in Erie, Pa. He was born May 26, 1940 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Charles R. Christy, III and Charlotte Baxter Christy. Roy had been employed as a purchasing agent by Chautauqua County in Mayville. He always enjoyed both watching and playing golf. Surviving is a sister, Diane Greenfield of Hamburg, NY; a niece and several nephews; and his friend and caregiver of more than five years, Jeanne Ruch of Westfield. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sundlov Christy who died September 21, 2006; and a brother, William B. Christy in 1999. Per Roy's wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Burial will be in Dewittville Cemetery.
