Recently found out about Lawrie's passing from Brother Bill. We were roommates at SUNY Fredonia and I will always remember
Lawrie as a kind, gentle man. Glad to find out about his service in the Navy (I thought he was going to be a hospital administrator like my dad) and his later contributions to the community that birthed him.
Peace to his memory! Lawrie, if you knew the Lord, I will see you later. Daniel Johnson

I got to talk to L.T about how he felt about being laid to rest. I will say he is the bravest person I have ever known. He was not afraid at all. And strong as ever with his sharp mind
Which to me was amazing. He was a great friend to me, and will truly be missed by all who could call him a friend. I love you buddy, if there's a heaven I know you earned your spot , probably twice! RIP

Marie and I remember Lawrie as a little boy. When Lawrie was 9 & 10 years old he would come into the office after school and put his books on Marie's desk and show her the homework that needed to be done, and ask her to do it for him, while he socialized. Marie in jest teased him that when he graduated from hIgh school the diploma was hers.
We have thought of him often over the years.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Taylor family.

To the family of Lawrie. I remember Lawrie from both school and Scouting. Always a great guy. I can understand his love of the “Hollow “ as Troop 14 would stay at Seton Hartley’s “Little Brown Jug”. Of course we would come over to your camp to get water by using the pitcher pump. I am saddened by your loss. Jim Mittlefehldt, Troop 14, Class of 72.

LT...You were a good man and good friend. You had a way of making those around you feel better. I'll always remember the good times we had; Big Pine, Indepence Days at Chautauqua, shooting pool at the Surf Club, night skiing and so many more. I know you are in a better place now but you will always be here in my heart and memories. Rest in piece good friend.

I am so sorry to hear this. My mother died from ALS. Lawrie was a terrific guy who was helpful to me as a news reporter at WJTN (Media One Radio Group) when I was able to cover the county's Industrial Development Agency for several years. Sometimes we would talk over a beer at the Good-time Saloon. Always enjoyed his company. I will miss him.
