Bev and I first met as sophomores at Jamestown High. We were in the same business classes and we clicked on the very first day. Bev stood up for me when I got married. We stayed in touch until she and Ed moved from Watertown. Four years ago I found them on Whitepages.com. Three summers ago I went to Jamestown to see them. Bev and I talked by phone monthly. She told me all about her amazing life with Ed. She called me when she found out she had cancer. Bev was the kindest and sweetest friend you could ever be lucky enough to meet. She had the most wonderful sense of humor. She was my oldest friend and I was blessed to have known her for fifty eight years.

I first met Ed and Bev when I was assigned to Mainz Legal Detachment, Mainz, Germany, in December 1985. She impressed me from the beginning. Her position within the Mainz Military Community Headquarters was admired by all. We later moved to Valrico, FL. Ed was re-assigned to Ft Drum, NY and later relocated to Orlando. We continued our friendship by visiting one another at various times. We had the pleasure to be invited to one of their milestone anniversaries. After they relocated to Valrico, our friendship grew stronger. Bev was a very sweet, kind, caring and considerate lady. She will be remembered for a long time by those who had the pleasure of knowing her and calling her a friend. Our hearts and prayers are with those left behind to cherish her memories. The JAG Corps, your extended family, grieves with you.

I wish I could be there to say goodbye to my very good dear friend. You and I were like sisters, we would talk on the phone for hours. You moved away and we moved away and it was hard to see each other, but we did talk alot. I will greatly miss you but I know you are in a better place and you are not suffering anymore. May you RIP. Love you always, Sally

Linda and I send our deepest condolences to Ed and the family. I was the Army Staff Judge Advocate in Mainz Germany from 1982 to 1984, and in that role I came into close contact with both Alexanders. I was Ed's boss and I interacted frequently with Bev, as the secretary to the Community Commander. We greatly enjoyed our relationship with both the Alexanders, professionally and personally. Before returning from Europe in 1984, we shared a marvelous vacation to Paris with them. After Army service. we were all neighbors in Orlando for a time. When I told my sister of Bev's passing, she recalled Bev's gracious treatment of her and my mother in arranging a wonderful tour of the Orlando Peabody complex some years ago. May such memories of a full and adventurous life together be a source of comfort.

Joy and I send our condolences and will be praying for Ed and the entire family. Ed, Bev and I were stationed together in Mainz, Germany, in 1984-1985. I stayed with Ed and Bev for a short period of time, prior to my reassignment back to the US. I will always remember the good times we had and consider them life long friends. JAG Corps Strong!!
