Obituary of William H. Schlifke

William H. Schlifke, Jr., 71, passed away at his home in Westfield , N.Y. on February 14, 2019. He was born on February 22, 1947 in Buffalo, N.Y. and was the son of the late William H. Schlifke and Georgia Barth Schlifke. Bill was a graduate of Jamestown High School and Jamestown Community College and was a U.S Navy veteran, serving from 1967 to 1969. He worked in the ski industry in Vermont and New York for over 40 years, most recently as a ski instructor at Peak' n Peak in Clymer. Bill enjoyed fly tying, trout fishing and sailing on lakes Champlain and Erie. Surviving are his uncle, Richard Barth and cousins, Peter Barth and Marilyn Cutright. No memorial service will be held and inurnment was at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Jamestown Community College Foundation at foundation@mail.sunyjcc.edu.
