Darrel C. Carlson, Nephew - more a Brother with Sven... posted a condolence
Sunday, March 31, 2019
I have waited a while as I found I didn't really know what we had until Bud got his wings and went up there and we now have only his memory .
Certainly, Bud stood for a lot of important things. He was there to back them up too in his most steadfast manner. A Navy Veteran - one of those whom I regard as the top echelon of Americans.
To my good fortune, he always was my brother David's and my big Brother.
Sven was a "Straight Arrow" if there ever was one - and the best Family Man our family has ever had! He looked after, out for and was helping everyone who needed his kind and gentle comforting aid.
I recently met quite a number of his friends - some really great people...
There are so very many times we shared that I will never forget, and especially he and Carole's four Son's looking after him so lovingly while meeting his every need.
Ah yes, we see that the apples didn't fall very far from the tree.
I am so very proud of them all - the Sven and Carole Norberg Family.

What a wonderful neighbor Bud was to us. We were very Thankful for the fresh Tomatoes and beets and beet greens Bud would bring over. He would also Snow Blow the driveway in the winter. Just an all around GREAT Neighbor to Lynn and I.

Dear Norberg Family, I was shocked to read of Sven's passing today. We worked together for many years and I was his mailman for many more. One of the joys of my day was stopping to talk with Sven. He was an absolute joy to know...a real gentleman. Please accept my most sincere condolences and know that I will think of him often....and smile.

I have not seen Sven in many years. We worked together in The Jamestown Post Office in the early 1970’s. We became friends during that period until the time I left Jamestown. Sven was a kind compassionate person, always having a kind word and a great smile. He was an extremely valuable asset with a great work ethic. My sincere condolences to his family, I am certain he will be missed.

RIP Uncle Bud,
Some of my fondest childhood memories were of you and the family coming to my house weekly, to take care of the garden. I Will also miss our conversations.
Love Brian
