Obituary of Roberta A. Moore

Roberta A. Moore, 90, formerly of 206 Crossman St. Jamestown, passed away at 12:05 pm Saturday, April 6, 2019, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.

An area resident for most of her life, she was born July 23, 1928 in Cyclone, PA, a daughter of the late Emil and Laura Howard Hartman.

She was a graduate of Bradford Area High School and earned her certificate as a Certified Nurse's Aide.

She was a private duty home health care aide for several families and had also worked for the Lutheran Home as a certified nurse's aide. In previous years she had worked for the Chautauqua Dairy Store and Upjohn Home Healthcare.

She was a member of the East Congregation Jehovah's Witness for many years.

Surviving are her seven children; Barbara Skiver of Little Valley, NY, Charles (Judy) Sheehan of Jamestown, June (Dan Mendall) Colburn of Steamburg, NY, Patricia Logue of Jamestown, Kathleen (Dennis) Phanco of Frewsburg, NY, Kenneth (Mindy) Moore of Jamestown, Roselyn (Mitch Brandl) Johnson of Jamestown, 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and her sister Carol (Bill) Songer of Limestone, NY.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston H. Moore whom she married June 18, 1955 and who died October 25, 1996, a sister, Laura Willoughby and three brothers, Howard, Raymond and Elmer Hartman.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Dan Hamilton of the East Congregation will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
