We have known Don for fifty years. Don has been a very special friend. Don will be missed by his friends and family. I worked with Don for many years at the IBEW. We played golf together for many years traveled to Myrtle Beach many times and we have some wonderful memories. Don did so much for his hometown and made the IBEW a better organization with his development of a pension plan,that we all enjoy today. My father, George Carlson, and Mr. Ahlstrom became friends through the Republican party and service to our community. I will always remember how Mr. Ahlstrom regularly visited my Dad during his last illness. Mr. Ahlstrom was a caring, true gentlemen. Our family extends their heartfelt sympathy to his family and will always keep his memory in our hearts..

Norma and family: I really enjoyed the times I had the opportunity to sit and talk with Don. He had so much knowledge from his experiences and community organizations of which he served. I felt he and I could have sat for hours discussing issues of the day. I am going to miss him.

My condolences to all of Don's family. I met Don at the hearings concerning Jamestown's proposed New Coal powered plant. I gained much respect for him as we worked together and I learned what a wonderful and intelligent man he was. All of Jamestown owes Don a prayer for the wonderful things he did for his fellow man. Don Ahlstrom will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Godspeed to you Don.
