Mom it's January 3rd 20/20 and I still don't know what to say or how to feel about not having you in the rest of my life/journey. It's like a endless void that has taken the place in my soul where I kept all the things I once held so near and dear to my being, it's like they have Falling Away far beyond my reach and every aspect thus far has been nothing more than a lackluster attempt at happiness you were the only person in my life that no matter what I did said or anything else I can think of ever gave up on me or, pushed me away, you were always there with exactly the right words to say. With both arms open and a smile on your face. Steadfast in your beliefs and love for your family and friends never wavering, strong and proud like a Mighty Oak and simultaneously more elegant and beautiful than a Orchard of cherry blossoms on a perfect spring day. I will forever be humbly honored to call you my mother!!! And I can only hope as you watch us from above that I can make you as proud of me with the rest of my time here as I have always been of you....
Your living memory through Billy,Corinne,Dad,myself, and sibling, cousin, aunt and uncle, niece and nephew, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, coworkers, the countless patients and their families who's life's you have touched and thoughtlessly given us all your most precious gift of your time well forever be appreciated admired and respected and I know until the day comes we meet again I will always be my mother's, brother's, sister's and father's keeper........
I love you with all my heart love always your little boy Christopher John Swanson........

I am truly sorry for your loss. My condolences to your family.
She was one of a kind. She was always there to talk to, she was always there to lend a helping hand. Even if you were not family, she always made you feel like you were.

My thoughts and prayers to Doreen's family. She was a wonderful nurse, kind / caring and very thoughtful. Her knowledge was incredible, she remembered things taught I had long forgot. When anyone says "I'm just an LPN" I think of how Doreen knew things some doctors don't. Tried making her fudge once ("it's easy she said - ha!) not the same. Sure will miss her, she was met at the gates by Shelly ("Doreeeen") and countless others who's lives she impacted. A couple months ago after we lost a special resident she told me "my aim is to just go to sleep and go", I didn't realize it would be so soon.

I am deeply saddened to have lost a great friend. Doreen was the definition of a heart of gold for those she cared for as a nurse. She always had an open ear for residents, a hug, or a smile. Doreen thank you for being there during all my transitions as a nurse with words of encouragement, wisdom, and support. My daughters loved to visit you as if they knew who that kind voice was they heard almost daily for so many months. May your love continue to shine down on your family

I had the pleasure of working with Doreen at Lutheran. She was a dedicated worker who always took time to make a difference for each person she encountered. She was such a kind soul and an amazing nurse. She will surely be missed. She often baked us treats and shared pictures of her grandchildren with us. She was everyone’s favorite “work mom.” She would teach you everything she knew and never made you feel dumb for asking a question. My sincere condolences to her family whom I know she loved dearly.
