Obituary of Kirk R. Watson

Kirk R. Watson, 68, of Tulsa, OK passed away on May 14, 2019, in his home. He was born February 23, 1951 in Jamestown, NY a son of the late C. Robert and Elaine Johnson Watson. He was raised in Jamestown and moved to the Washington, DC area as a young adult. He resided in Wagoner, South Dakota for 25 years and moved to Tulsa, OK in April of 2018 due to ill health. Kirk was a 1969 graduate of Southwestern Central High School. As a young man, he had earned the Eagle Scout Award. Kirk was a police officer serving the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He is survived by his daughter, Christa Sage and his grandson, Liam Sage both of Tulsa, OK. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Watson. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Friday, June 21, 2019, in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Rick Miller, pastor of the Zion Covenant Church will officiate.
