Obituary of Robert K. Tomlinson

Robert K. Tomlinson, 47, of 5 Arden Parkway, died Thursday June 20, 2019, in his home. He was born April 28, 1972, in Jamestown, a son of Sandra Cross Tomlinson and the late Robert W. Tomlinson. He was a 1990 graduate of Maple Grove High School and later graduated from Jamestown Community College. He was employed by Arrowwood Landscaping for 19 years. His children were his world and he enjoyed watching them participate in their many sports, especially wrestling. He had coached youth baseball and wrestling as well. Surviving besides his mother of Jamestown are his children Skylynn and Bryce Tomlinson; his brother Mike (Tammy) Tomlinson of Jamestown; four nephews Jake, Luke, Nick and Nate Tomlinson; aunts and uncles Mary Grace and John Brustrom of Jamestown and John and Jane Tomlinson of Florida and the mother of his children Heather Peters of Jamestown. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Kenneth and Mary Cross and paternal grandparents Ella and Robert Tomlinson. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Joseph Janaczek will officiate. Burial will be in Fluvanna Cemetery. Friends will be received from noon to 2 on Sunday in the funeral home.
