Obituary of Richard L. Fulmer
Richard L. Fulmer, 69, of 14 Fairview Ave., Dunkirk, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He was born June 21, 1950, a son of the late George W. Fulmer and Eva M. Wells Fulmer Slater.
Richard was a graduate of Maple Grove High School and received his Bachelors Degree from Colorado Christian College and a Masters Degree from Midwestern Theological Seminary.
He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force.
He was a member of Lakeshore Community Chapel SBC in Fredonia and had many hobbies and interests including being an avid reader and was a Ham radio enthusiast.
Richard was a Southern Baptist minister for many years and had multiple secular jobs.
Richard is survived by his wife Leah F. Bloomensaat Fulmer, whom he married Feb. 1, 1997; a son Benjamin J. (Tammy) Fulmer; two grandchildren: Zoie Nolan and Alyssa Stanbery; two sisters: Carol J. (W. Tracy) Parnell and Marie A. Whiting; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Rachel Fulmer Winkleman; two sisters: Helena M. Fulmer and Beverly F. Wallace; a brother George "Brad" Fulmer; a brother in law Donald Whiting, and a niece Kimberly Lindell.
A memorial service will held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Lakeshore Community Chapel, 4552 W. Main Rd., Fredonia, NY 14063.
Inurnment will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to www.southerntierkidneyassoc.org or to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
