Obituary of Margaret Maurer

Margaret Maurer, 89, of 511 Valerie Lane in Jamestown, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was the wife of Nandor Maurer whom she married October 18, 1947 in Salzburg, Austria. Margaret was born August 25, 1929 in Saalfelden, Austria and was the daughter of the late Hermann and Katharina Achleitner Haller. Together she and Nandor came to Jamestown in 1958. Margaret had worked as a Lab Technician in the former Histology Lab of WCA Hospital for a number of years, and was a member of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss. Peter & Paul Church. In addition to her husband, Nandor, surviving is a daughter, Margarida (David) Youngren of Jamestown; and a granddaughter, Kirsten Youngren of Fairfax, VA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
