I first met Gary in 1999 or 2000. He graciously invited me to join him in skeet and trap shooting. I learned a lot about those sports from him. I only saw Gary once on a return visit after I moved back to my home state in 2008. He was always a good friend and generous person. I just learned of his passing and know that he will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. All the best to Sandy and the rest of his family.

He was one of the most influential teachers I ever had, and it meant the world to me that last winter I ran into him at a trap shoot with my family and he actually remembered me

As others have noted, Gary was our class advisor, and he was a good one! I remember he always called me "Kib." He had an engaging teaching style and personality, He was funny, and he had good camaraderie with fellow teachers and students. He was one of the teachers that I was truly thankful for during my time at CVCS. May God give his family comfort and a flow of great memories. RIP Gary.

I am saddened for your family, to hear of Mr. Dubois' passing. He was advisor for the class of 1977 and each of us got to know what a wonderful person he was, and what a wonderful family he had. Life will never be the same for anyone without Gary Dubois in the world. God bless you, his family, in the days and weeks ahead; as you face life so differently now. I send my love and my prayers. He was one of the world's good ones.

I’ll never forget the year my locker was across from Mr. Dubois’ classroom. Every day he tried to convince me to join the basketball team because I’m tall. The poor guy had no success, but he gave it his best shot. He was a great teacher and coach, if not recruiter. My sincere condolences to his family.

It's amazing how often I've thought about the nights fishing. Whether at Allegany or in Chautauqua lake. Canoeing with a lantern over the side of a boat. Rest in peace my friend.
