Obituary of Elizabeth E. Bachelor

Elizabeth E. Bachelor, 97, of 45 Melvin Avenue, Celoron, died Wednesday September 25, 2019, in UPMC Chautauqua. She was born June 24, 1922, in Johnsonburg, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Lida Keller Myers. Prior to her retirement she owned and operated a beauty shop in her home for 18 years. She was a longtime member of Celoron United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for 50 years, served as memorial secretary and was treasurer of United Methodist Women. Surviving are two sons Gregory Bachelor and Gary (Marcia) Bachelor, both of Celoron; two granddaughters Lisa (Gary) Woodmansee of Lakewood and Jennifer (Isaac) Bachelor-Phelps of Celoron; seven great grandchildren Amanda, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Alexis, Emily, Danny and Payton and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Bachelor, whom she married December 27, 1944 and who died July 2, 2016; a brother Wallace Myers and two sisters Althea Dickinson and Hazel Snyder. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Childs will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
